Columbia Valley and Columbia Gorge Appellations
Appellations
An appellation is a legally defined and protected geographical indication used to identify where the grapes for a wine were grown. Pheasant Valley wines are made with grapes grown either on our estate organic vineyard or vineyards within 10 miles of our winery. All are located in the Columbia Gorge or Columbia Valley Appellations. Micro Climates The diverse climate in the Columbia Valley and Columbia Gorge Appellations allow for the cultivation of almost any wine. This region is sometimes referred to as a "World of Wine in 40 miles". This amazing 40 mile range experiences dramatic temperature and rainfall changes. The result, distinct microclimates that rival the most famous grape-growing regions of the world, Burgundy, Bordeaux, Rhine and Rhone. No other region in the world can offer you such a vast amount of "terroir" in one 40 miles stretch, subsequently offering you a full range of these regionally inspired wines. All Wines REVIEW "The Best Wine in The Gorge" "The wines produced by this winery is by far the best wines of The Gorge and among the top produces in the Northwest. It is surrounded by orchards and grape vineyards. They have a view of Mt Hood and have a very pleasant tasting room. They have the only organic wine in the area.

We did a tasting of 6 wines for $5 for $10 you could taste 15 wines. The Pear Wine is the signature wine here and it was wonderful! We also enjoyed the Organic Pinot Noir and their Chardonnay which has won several gold medals. The tasting room is spacious and rivlas those in the CA wine country. There are picnic tables set up outside and comfy chairs, also. If you serious about your wines, don't miss this place. Plan on spending some extra time here lingering outside and enjoying the ambiance of the Oregon Wine Country"
